Renewal pricing
Right now, renewal is $0 too.
Some legal software hooks you with a low first year and then charges more at renewal. Today there is no charge and no renewal fee, and no introductory-rate trick because there is no rate. It is free for now; if we ever decide to charge for our plans, anyone already signed up stays free at least through the end of their current one-year period, and any change would apply only after that.
Installs like an app
Put the whole toolkit on your phone and your desktop.
F-Law is a Progressive Web App - add it to your home screen or your desktop and it opens in its own window like native software, no app store and no install file. The calculators run right there, so you can check an arrears number in the hallway outside Department H or run a division on your laptop at counsel table. Sign in once per device and it stays signed in; your encrypted matters follow you. Nothing to download, nothing to update - it is always the current version.
How do I install it?
On a phone or tablet, open f-law.app in your browser and choose “Add to Home Screen”; on a desktop, click the install icon in your browser’s address bar. That’s it - it lands as an app icon and launches in its own window. You can also just use it in a normal browser tab; installing is optional.
Is there a catch?
You have to create an account. It’s free, and it exists so your client matters can be saved - they are encrypted on your device before they ever reach us, so what we store is ciphertext we cannot read.
Why is it free?
Because the math is commodity. Statutory interest, guideline support, coverture fractions - these are published formulas applied carefully, and every figure here cites the statute, regulation, or case it comes from. Making that free removes the friction of checking opposing counsel’s numbers. It is free for now; that may change, and we would tell you first if it did.
